Dagny Kream is a fine art photographer based in South Eastern Massachusetts.

Her work is heavily influenced by her home life, growing up surrounded by farmland in a rural small town. Her intention is to create work with a function-driven outlook that tells a story, while also exploring challenging, human situations from a uninterrupted behind the scenes view. Fascination with chronic illness, family dynamics, social infrastructure and natural surroundings play into aspects of her work. The mundane phenomenons of daily life which we so often ignore, intentionally or otherwise, are captured, held still, and given their chance in the spotlight. She uses her photography to instigate reflection of the every day and hold space for the imagination.

When despair for the world grows in me

and I wake in the night at the least sound in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be, I go and lie down where the wood drake rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds. I come into the peace of wild things who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief. I come into the presence of still water. And I feel above me the day-blind stars waiting with their light. For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free. -wendell berry
